I had the pleasure of first meeting Victoria & Jared during an engagement session we scheduled in the beautiful Cape Elizabeth at Fort Williams. Instantly, I felt a connection with them and grew eager for their wedding day to come! Victoria's smile and the way Jared instantly brought it out in her was perfection to capture! The sincerity and realness of their love was immediately obvious to me. I had such a blast that afternoon and just knew the wedding would be one for the books!

Jared & Victoria's big day took place at a gorgeous, perfectly kept sercret spot in the wooden areas of Millinocket, Maine. It was everything you want in a Maine summer wedding to be. I was so in love with this venue- the enclosed trees allowed for the right amount of soft sunlight for a wedding day.The weather was in our favor with the perfect amount of sun and breeze to make for a comfortable day.I had never been to the Inn before so I was immediately impressed with the area. I was never left without inspiration for places to photograph Victoria & Jared throughout the day.

The ceremony took place outside by the water, just a short walk through the woods from the main house where the bridal party got ready. Jared & Victoria stood underneath an unbelievably stunning arbor made by Victoria's uncle, Lindy, & decorated by her sister Riannon. I loved how magical the ceremony location felt tucked away in the wooden parts of the Inn!  My mother, Roxanne, led the personalized ceremony speaking words of commitment and promising love. Four of Victoria & Jared's closest friends read special notes for the bride & groom- this personalized touch to the ceremony was adored by all!

When it was time for Victoria to get into her gown I was having a hard time remembering to photograph each moment as I was completely blown away by her gown! The images speak for themselves, but I cannot even begin to tell you how breath-taking Victoria's dress was in person. Dare I say, it is by far one of my most favorite gowns I've ever had the pleasure in photographing. It's as if this gown was made for her! To make the gown that much more exceptional Victoria's grandmother, Lyndsay, sewed in something special and blue at the bottom as a secret while she was altering the gown!
 There are no words to describe how insanely beautiful Victoria looked! From the dress to the hair to the perfectly done make up she was a stunning bride!

After the ceremony was over, I took the bride and groom for some truly extraordinary, sun-drenched portraits. As we all know, these two photograph very well together! :)

 Next, it was time for a cheerfully vibrant reception, under a beautifully decorated white tent nestled in the woods, for yet again more of that perfectly placed soft lighting spilling in between the trees. Jared & Victoria danced their first dance as Mr. & Mrs. Jared Merry as all their family and friends surrounded them. 
So much dancing went into this reception! I loved watching Victoria & Jared's family come together to celebrate such a memorable day together! 
The couple decided on serving slices of homemade pies in place of cake as a special touch to honor the family. The family often meets at Dysart's to enjoy a piece of pie and conversation. Everyone at the reception loved this idea! Who doesn't love pie!? YUM!

The reception continued with loads of dancing, singing, and pie! The couple's family & friend's enjoyed the music perfectly picked by the DJ! Robyn and I had a blast capturing all the laughter on the dance floor & the little ones who at some points out danced the adults! The Merry wedding was my last wedding of the summer and it sure made for the perfect one to wrap up the summer with!

Jared & Victoria, your love is inspirational and contagious. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a part of your perfect day- it was truly extraordinary.
